Art

We will be learning about and trying different types of techniques (oil, watercolor, pastel, acrylic, etc.) and styles (realism, expressionism, impressionism, etc.) of painting.
Will encourage the students to have fun and express themselves through their art projects.

Chocolate Class

This class will start their year learning about the election process by participating in an interactive candy bar election. After that we will continue with the chocolate theme in science, history, cooking, literature and more!

Gym

Students will have fun playing games, problem solving, and improving hand-eye coordination which promote teamwork while also working on their large motor skills. Games and drills will consist of running, throwing, and strategy as well as touching on the foundational agility skills needed for sports like newcomb, gaga ball, sock/floor hockey, and much more!

Math Games

Each week we will play math games. We will work on all math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, clocks, fractions, and more! We will play whole group, small group, and partner games. We’ll also add in a math project towards the end of the year!
